AIS is pleased to announce our inaugural small works exhibition, "Impressions: Small Works Showcase." This juried exhibition will be held annually in the spring or summer to offer our members the opportunity to showcase their small impressionistic paintings (12x16 and under). Our goal is to showcase the finest examples of impressionism produced by today's American Impressionist artists. Our inaugural showcase will be held March 11th through 25th, 2017, at Randy Higbee Gallery in Costa Mesa, California. AIS Master Peggi Kroll-Roberts will serve as the judge of awards. Opening reception will be Saturday, March 11th from 6 to 9pm at the gallery. There will be workshops, a special paintout and Wet Wall Exhibit/Competition, and lectures held in conjunction with the exhibition. See prospectus for dates and times. Complete details will be available on the AIS website as they are finalized. All artwork submitted must be impressionistic in style. You must be a paid member of AIS and a legal resident of the United States to be eligible to enter.

Calvin Liang will teach a plein air workshop Sept. 26th through 28th (see 2016 Exhibition page for registration information). Many more programs and events are currently in the planning stages and will be posted on the Exhibition page as they are finalized.

Click here for the Exhibition Prospectus which has complete entry information, instructions and requirements, as well as a schedule of events from March 9th through 12th.
